Our mission is to spread love to women all over the world.
We want to contribute to a more responsible and self-loving lifestyle that embraces women in our part of the world, while our production helps women in developing countries. Today we have more than 75 women working for us in Nepal, and every day we make a positive difference for them and their families.

Timeless design

At CARE BY ME we believe in quality over quantity. We create fewer but better products in natural materials and of the highest quality.
We launch just two timeless collections a year, do not overproduce and never hold sales.

Our designs are long-lasting, and we strive to make it easier for you as a customer to make a more responsible and sensible choice by investing in some classic products that you will use, cherish and love for many years to come.

Natural materials

A story that starts with love - Camilla's love for women and for cashmere.

We believe that natural and recyclable materials are better for people and the environment. That's why our timeless collections consist exclusively of classics made from natural and long-lasting quality materials such as cashmere, wool, organic cotton, linen, silk, as well as recycled cashmere and wool.
Classics that you can invest in, enjoy daily, take good care of and pass on to the next generation.

Crafts

In our world, there is nothing better than the authentic sound of knitting needles clicking together, or the sound of a bobbin moving back and forth on a loom. We love seeing the amazing pieces of clothing that can be created by hand, and how much joy they bring to those who wear them.

Good craftsmanship means everything to us, and we highly value the craft traditions in each and every one of the countries we work with. Our desire is to unite this craftsmanship with our Danish design roots, and therefore we only strive to improve the design or production processes if necessary, in order to preserve the old craft traditions that have been passed down through generations.

In the Kathmandu Valley, hundreds of years of craft tradition are continued in our small social workshops, where knitting is done by hand with knitting needles and on old-fashioned manual knitting machines, and weaving is done both manually and semi-automatically.

Undyed

Nature itself has always been our great source of inspiration, and we work exclusively with natural quality materials.
Materials that are naturally beautiful and timeless in their own right.

At CARE BY ME we love the beauty and simplicity of the natural color palette, and of course the fact that natural colors are a more responsible choice.

Our undyed cashmere styles are clean, less polluting and biodegradable, which is better for both people, animals and nature.
We strive to continually add more styles to our range of undyed 100% cashmere.

Italy is known for amazing craftsmanship and their ability to recycle materials is unique.

When you choose to recycle textiles, you not only reduce waste sent to landfills, but you also help save both energy and resources that would otherwise be used to produce a new product. Recycling helps reduce overconsumption, reduces the negative effects of climate change, and instead has a more positive impact on the environment.

Many manufacturers use polyester material when recycling wool and cashmere.
We don't - our products are 100% natural and comply with international standards for recycling.

Certifications

The majority of our cotton products are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, and all of our products are made with respect for people and the environment.

GOTS certification ensures that the cotton is grown organically and made in a way that minimizes damage to the environment while also taking care of the people involved from seed to finished product.
GOTS is considered the highest certification for organic textiles.

Respect

Our foundation at CARE BY ME is built on love and respect for people.
Having a respectful relationship with those we work with means everything.
Our producers are our partners and we have enormous trust in them. The majority of them have been with us since the beginning and both they and their families hold a big place in our hearts. We have a mutual respect and we highly value their commitment.

In Nepal, we have very close relationships with our producers, and in collaboration and with the help of Danida, we have transformed production from traditional conventional production to more responsible production with a focus on social and economic conditions.

Our founder and designer Camilla Gullits regularly travels to our workshop in Nepal to teach our skilled employees about our collections and the good craftsmanship, but also to maintain the good relationships we have built over the years. With good daily communication, we can work closely together, even though we are physically far apart, which helps to ensure proper working conditions and quality assurance of production, so that we get the best possible product home to you as a consumer, which we can vouch for.

In India, we collaborate with a well-established organic certified partner who is responsible for all of our organic cotton production.

Our partner in India also focuses on the next generation. When an employee's child does well in school, it triggers a financial bonus for the family, motivating the parents to provide their children with an education and thus a better and more secure future. However, it is taken into account that not all children have the same abilities.
