The new ideals of luxury are more about authenticity and soul than champagne and stilettos. Today, luxury is more about the ability to make specific choices than about displaying wealth or status.

It's about buying products with care and transparency. Products that are developed by skilled designers and manufactured with high-level craftsmanship. Products that are purchased with the knowledge that they are made from the best raw materials and by people who have good conditions in terms of education, wages and human rights.

CARE BY ME's core values for design include durability, exclusivity and simplicity. We are proud of our Danish design heritage and we strive to combine it with modern aesthetics, high-quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship.

Durable design

Most women want to update their wardrobe every now and then, but our goal is to create long-lasting designs that transcend fleeting trends. Our collections are timeless and never go out of style.

Only the best materials

Wherever we work, we always strive to choose local raw materials of the best possible quality. For example, we only work with grade-A cashmere, and when we use cotton, it must be gauze, cotton poplin or spun cotton - and most importantly; it must be GOTS certified. For wool, linen and cashmere blends, we only choose the best materials from Nepal. CARE BY ME never uses synthetic materials unless they are recycled, which makes them more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Our design heritage

Elegant minimalism, functionality, timelessness, simple aesthetics and high quality.

Danish design is known worldwide for its clean lines, quality materials and timeless pieces. The design movement began in the 1950s, when there was a shortage of production materials in Denmark in the post-war period. Forced by circumstances, design during this period was characterized by simplicity, functionality and minimalism.

Many of the most prominent Danish designers from the mid-20th century, such as Georg Jensen and Arne Jacobsen, were instrumental in making Danish design popular throughout the world, and they still inspire many of today's designs.

Camilla, the founder of CARE BY ME, studied at the Danish School of Design. In her first year of study, she found inspiration in both Danish and foreign architecture, and based on that, she created fashion collections that were inspired by Carlo Scarpa, Mogens Lassen and Paladio. To this day, she is still inspired by architecture, but also nature, culture and art.

Good craftsmanship

We value good craftsmanship. In our world, there is nothing better than the authentic sound of knitting needles clicking together, or the sound of a bobbin moving back and forth on a loom. We love seeing the amazing pieces of clothing that can be created by hand, and how much joy they bring to those who wear them.

We value the craft traditions of each and every country we work with, which is why we strive to only improve design or production processes where necessary, in order to preserve the ancient craft traditions that have been passed down through generations.

Love for people, nature, exceptional craftsmanship and Danish design is the essence of our entire mindset and the foundation for the important journey our founder Camilla Gullits embarked on in 2012.

The desire to be a brand focused on responsible production with respect for both people and the environment, as well as the hope of helping women in developing countries to a better life, has been at the core of CARE BY ME from the beginning, and we are proud of what we have achieved to this day. Every day our brand makes a positive difference for the women who work in our social workshops in Nepal and their families.
