COZY CREATIVE PROJECT FOR THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS
We hope that you are slowly getting ready for a wonderful Christmas holiday filled with love, magical moments, surprises, family and good friends. But also that you have time for quiet days without plans, focusing on self-loving moments, well-being and reflection.
A moment of self-love could, for example, be a small, cozy craft project, like the one we show today.
An easy DIY guide to beautiful paper angels, which can be made in a multitude of variations - only your imagination sets the limits.
So if you're looking for some nice decorations for either the Christmas tree, the Christmas table or the window, take a look below.
Step 1
You will need the following:
- Paper of your choice. At CARE BY ME we love the idea of reusing paper you already have lying around at home. For example, fine gift wrapping paper you have collected over time, newspaper or old magazines. You can also use tissue paper or baking paper, which gives a more light and airy result.
- Scissors
- Sewing thread / string
- Pearls
Then it has to be folded.
The angel will look different depending on how small or large the folds are on the pair. Experiment and find your favorite.
The smaller the folds, the more life the angel gets.
Step 2
Count the folds of the paper until you find the middle. Cut 1/3 off which will indicate the wings.
Find the middle of the string and "roll" it around the angel. Tie a double knot so that the knot is very close to the angel.
If the string ends are not the same length, cut them as necessary, as this will make it easier for you to thread the needle.
Step 3
Unfold the angel and adjust the folds as needed.
If you would like the bead that indicates the angel's head to be in the middle, you can finish the string by making a small hole in the paper near the middle and pulling it through before putting the bead on.
Remember to check that the hole in the bead is large enough to fit the needle through.
Now your paper angel is finished and ready to decorate either on the Christmas tree, as a table decoration or in the window - only your imagination sets the limits.
