What does your morning routine look like?
I love waking up early and slowly – giving myself time to feel my body and digest the night. I tune in to what I want for the day and, if possible, find a ray of sunshine first thing in the morning.
Mornings are undoubtedly the most productive time of the day for me – both for body and mind.
I usually start my day with movement, often a little yoga or gentle stretching. A regular part of my morning routine is lukewarm lemon water, fresh celery juice and usually a liver-cleansing smoothie or a green smoothie.
How do you best spend an hour in your own company?
I am spoiled – because I actually have a lot of my own time, and I see that as a huge luxury. I spend a lot of that time in my kitchen, playing and experimenting with ingredients and inventing new recipes. In the summer, I often get the ingredients directly from the garden.
An hour in nature always makes me happy too – that's where I find peace, balance and new energy.
What is your best advice for showing self-love and prioritizing yourself in a busy everyday life?
Try switching off your phone a little more often. I’m not flawless at it - it’s part of my work - but it can also drain so much time. Perhaps life isn’t as “busy” as it feels. When I put the phone away, I find more peace, presence, and space for connection - with myself and others.
Have you made a decision in your life that has been particularly good for you?
Over the years, I spent far too much time criticizing my body - never fully satisfied. Choosing gratitude for simply being here, in this body; choosing love and letting go of fear - has given me a deep sense of freedom.
When my father passed away far too soon, I began a daily gratitude practice. His death was a profound sorrow - and also a profound gift.
If you could give your younger self one piece of advice on how to create a balanced life, what would it be?
Allow yourself to be imperfect – because perfect doesn't exist.
Live life as playfully and present as you can. Choose love over fear as often as possible – both in your relationship with yourself and with others.
Your best tip for a strong and healthy body and a balanced mind?
My mantra is “Food is medicine” – and for me it is a truth that cannot be ignored. It is all up to us. It can be both frightening and wonderfully liberating at the same time.
So – the classic advice still applies:
Eat lots (and preferably mostly) of fruits and vegetables – every day or as often as you can. Start a gratitude practice. Go to bed early. Move – I’ve started riding an electric bike myself, and I highly recommend it. Learn to breathe all the way down below your belly button.
And most importantly: Forgive yourself immediately when you don't get to do all the good things. These are "muscles" that need to be trained over and over again - and balance lies in the fact that we are constantly swinging in and out, up and down.

Have you always had a holistic and mindful approach to life – or is it something that has come with time?
I’m an optimist by nature - positive and, at my core, happy. I was lucky to grow up surrounded by love.
As I get older, I’ve become gentler, and I’m more drawn to slowness than ever. Pausing to notice nature, the people around us, the rhythm of the heart and the paths of thought - and doing what we can to lift our energy and vibration - has become central to my holistic, mindful way of living.
Do you have an easy beauty tip that we can share?
When you choose to focus on the positive - in thought, speech, and action - it rubs off on the world around you.
It shines through you. You glow, you radiate.
It isn’t always easy, but it’s free, available to everyone, and something we can practice every day. To me, that’s true beauty - no cream or treatment can match it.
If you could freely choose an activity that would give you lots of energy, what would it be?
When my energy is low, nature always helps.
I go outside, plunge into the sea, feel the wind on my face, forage for mushrooms and herbs, roll in a pile of leaves, or build a snowman.
I love to play - and in many ways, I’m still a childlike, playful being.
