HAPPY NEW YEAR - greetings from Camilla

Welcome 2024

In 2023, we celebrated a significant milestone at CARE BY ME - we became a Børsen Gazelle.
When I started CARE BY ME 11 years ago, it wasn't driven by financial motives. But the past few years have taught me the importance of having a sound financial business if you want to run a socially responsible business.

That's why I'm very proud that our small business has received this great award. It's confirmation that people support our social project - and it gives us even more motivation to continue our work.

Pernille and I visited our workshops together in Kathmandu, Nepal on November 23.
It was a life-affirming reunion with our partners of more than a decade.
We saw how much CARE BY ME means to many women and their families. We saw amazing crafts being created by women who are proud of their work and their culture, and we saw a wonderful unity among the women.
We are really making a difference now that we have grown a little bigger and we are very grateful for your support - without you along for the journey we would never have succeeded.

As I reflect on the past few years and look forward to the new, I am incredibly proud of all we have achieved, and I am excited about what the future holds. There is so much turmoil in the world, and I wish with all my heart that 2024 will be a year filled with peace and love.

Fortunately, more and more people have become aware that we need to change our habits if we are to preserve our beautiful blue planet. At CARE BY ME we work diligently and proactively to find new ways to recycle our textiles.
Based on the principle of little but good , we believe that our customers value quality over quantity.
We support sustainable design, rather than fast fashion and the fleeting trends of fashion. And most importantly, we believe that in our world we can afford to pay those who make our products a decent wage, so that they and their families can have a more decent life.

CARE BY ME has grown from a small, caring and responsible project to a healthy business that empowers and embraces women all over the world, while improving the quality of life for women and their families in developing countries.
Our brand is a tribute to traditional craftsmanship, a more sustainable mindset and responsible production.
Long-lasting Danish design, created by women for women.

From having only four knitters employed in Kathmandu, to now employing over 75 women in our social workshops, we help improve the lives and living conditions of our employees and their families every day - and we are proud of that.

We are also very grateful to work with over 400 fine stores around the world.
Stores that handpick their favorites from our collection and share our values of sustainability and social responsibility, helping customers make more responsible choices when they shop.

Our brand is built on love for people, the environment and long-lasting design.
We are committed to making a difference in the world, and we believe this love is key.
We will continue to celebrate and embrace it and strive to improve and innovate in the future.

We know that the road ahead will have its challenges, but with hard work, amazing products, love and support from our community, we believe that together we can continue this important journey for many years to come.

May 2024 mark a year of new beginnings, growth, and endless possibilities.
Thank you again for your support and the love we feel all around for our small, responsible brand.
We look forward to showing you what we have in mind for 2024.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful new year.
Happy New Year!

Camilla Gullits, founder and creative director of CARE BY ME
