We are now B Corp

B Corp stands for ‘Benefit for All’, and the certification is awarded only to companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. With this certification, CARE BY ME joins a global community of businesses using business as a force for positive change.

CARE BY ME has reached an important milestone - we are officially B Corp certified!

It is with a feeling of pride and gratitude that I can share that CARE BY ME has just reached an important milestone: we are now B Corp certified.

Becoming B Corp certified is a moment filled with both joy and deep gratitude, for me and for the entire CARE BY ME team. This milestone and recognition did not happen by itself. It is the result of many years of hard work, reflection, and the courage to constantly challenge ourselves and improve day by day, for the women we collaborate with, for our shared planet, and for the way we choose to run our business.

B Corp stands for “Benefit for All,” and that has always been our motivation. For us, CARE BY ME has never been just about creating something soft and beautiful, it’s about people, the planet, and a commitment to create something meaningful that lasts. Every single decision we make, from materials to packaging and logistics, is made with consideration.
The certification gives our customers and partners added assurance that we do not just talk about responsibility, we live it – and we are proud of that.

B Corp is an international certification for sustainability and a recognition that we contribute to a more responsible fashion and lifestyle industry. CARE BY ME is now officially part of a global community of over 10,000 companies committed to conducting business in a way where people, the environment, and community are just as important as financial performance.

The past year has been an intense and thorough process to achieve this certification. It is incredible to have our work affirmed, the work that we have poured our hearts and souls into over the past 12 years, and to see that it truly makes a difference, contributing positively to the planet, people, and the industry.

The process has also been a reflection on our strengths as a responsible company and an in-depth analysis of areas where we still have much to improve. In other words, the certification is not the end of our responsible journey, but the beginning of a new chapter where we will continue working to do better – step by step.

The love for the women in Nepal

When I started CARE BY ME, sustainability in the textile industry was still a vague concept and not the concrete strategy or tool we know today. For me, it was about creativity, craftsmanship, and, most importantly, treating the people producing our items responsibly.

CARE BY ME was born from my desire to promote self-love and care among busy women in our part of the world, while also supporting and uplifting women in developing countries.

In Kathmandu, Nepal, we began working with three talented knitters, and today more than 75 women create CARE BY ME products withtheir hands, skills, and strength every day.

It is the love for these women that has shaped our DNA from the very beginning. Social responsibility has always been part of who we are we empower women in their journey towards a better life.

The future

When I think about the future, I do not see a company that should grow just for growth’s sake. I see a company that must remain true to its values while exploring new products, materials, and opportunities within our responsible journey. We must maintain the quality and story behind each product. We must show that it is possible to run a business and simultaneously do good for others.

I hope that, as a customer, partner, or curious reader, you can feel the same as I do: that we are on a meaningful journey together. That by doing things a little differently, we can actually make a
positive impact, and the more of us there are, the greater the effect.

With B Corp, we enter a “family” of companies that share our values. Today, there are over 10,000 worldwide, this movement of people and companies is clear proof that change is happening and that many of us believe it is needed.

CARE BY ME have reached this point thanks in large part to all of you who support us in our work and daily life, believe in our mission, and share our values. So I want to end by saying congratulations
