AUTUMN WINTER 26 CARE BY ME
When I started working on the AW26 collection, I wanted to create a collection that reflects something I value more and more myself: simplicity, natural materials, and the joy of surrounding oneself with things one truly loves.
The collection is inspired by the special tranquility that comes with the Nordic winter. When the season changes, the light softens, and life naturally moves a little more indoors. A time that invites us to slow down, dress in soft layers, and find joy in the small moments of everyday life.
This atmosphere has influenced both the colors and materials in this collection.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND IT
My inspiration often begins with what I see around me - in nature's colors, textures, and small details. Dried flowers, the muted shades of winter, a special color combination, or a texture can be the beginning of a new idea.
But I also find inspiration in our own past collections. I like to revisit shapes, details, and styles that already feel like part of CARE BY ME, and work with them in new ways. For me, not everything has to be new to feel new.
In AW26, these two worlds meet. Nature's calm colors and organic textures with elements from our own design universe - reinterpreted in materials, colors, and silhouettes.
This is often how a collection begins for me - not with a finished idea, but with small impressions that slowly come together.
COLORS AND MATERIALS
The color palette is calm and natural with soft shades, warm brown tones, and a few deeper autumn colors. Colors I have chosen because they work beautifully together - but also because they can easily be combined with the favorites you already have in your wardrobe.
Natural materials are, as always, the heart of CARE BY ME. This season, for the first time, we are introducing corduroy in GOTS-certified organic cotton. I have been very much looking forward to this, as I believe there is a very special match between the soft corduroy with its fine texture and our soft cashmere.
I have also continued to work with our cashmere in various qualities - from very soft, heavier knits to a lighter blend of wool and cashmere, which is wonderful for layering. And of course, our popular blend of cashmere and silk - a quality we return to season after season for its lightness, softness, and beautiful expression.
MADE TO LAST
For me, a new collection is never just about creating more. It's about creating something that has a purpose. Styles that feel great to wear, can be used in different ways, and hopefully become some of those you pull out again season after season.
That's also why previous favorites have a natural place in our collections. I believe in building on what we have rather than constantly starting over - and in a wardrobe where new and familiar can coexist.
SOCIAL LUXURY
And as always, there's another story woven into the collection. Our love for craftsmanship, the desire to make responsible choices, and our ongoing work to help women on their path to a better life - that's the most important part of CARE BY ME.
That's what we call Social Luxury - our belief that beauty, quality, and responsibility can indeed go hand in hand.
AW26 is my invitation to meet the new season with a little more tranquility, self-care, and thoughtfulness - and perhaps feel how less can become more.
