Quiet Autumn – an invitation to turn your gaze inwards

When the days get shorter, the light softer, and the temperature drops, something happens to us.
We seek indoors. We bring out warm layers, light candles, and naturally desire more peace and presence. I truly appreciate this transition.
Because nature reminds us that we don't have to move at the same pace all year round.

A slower rhythm

Summer draws us out. Autumn invites us in.
Into the warmth, into the home – and perhaps a little more into ourselves.

For me, it's a time for small rituals. A quiet morning. A walk in the cool air. Soft materials against the skin. A few calm movements. Time without anything that needs to be accomplished.

Not as yet another thing we should do. But as small breaks we can give ourselves.

Following the seasons

Perhaps slow living isn't about doing everything slowly.

Perhaps it's more about sensing when it's time to slow down – and make space for the shifts that naturally come with the seasons.

Autumn has something special. It invites contemplation, more time at home, and finding joy in what's close. In the small things we surround ourselves with. In what we eat. In the music we listen to. In movement and in silence.

This is a thought that naturally resonates with Mindful Movements – and with CARE BY ME. To choose thoughtfully. To surround ourselves with natural materials and things that last. And to create space for those moments when we simply are.

More calm for autumn

In our little Mindful Movements universe, we have gathered inspiration for these slower moments.

Put on some music and find our playlists here.
Head to the kitchen and find our recipes here.
Or read – or reread – Vicky's wise words on Yin as life force.

Not as a recipe for slow living, but as small invitations to find what brings you peace and presence. Autumn is a good opportunity to start. Autumn is a great opportunity to slow down a bit and make room for what feels good.

I hope you find some inspiration in our universe – and perhaps a quiet moment or two for yourself.

Warmly,
Camilla
